Britt and Kaylee's Maternity Shoot

I just love this little family!!!  I shot their engagement pictures, their daughter Kennedy's first Halloween pictures, their family pictures, and now they are expecting number two.  Well, if I must confess, it took me awhile to get this blog posted, so Mr. Brody Harrison is already 2 months old!!!

I always love photographing this family.  I was there when Britt was born, so it's crazy to think that him and Kaylee are now making their own family and are on baby number 2!

Of course getting Britt to smile during this session was a challenge as always, and Kaylee was ready to beat him!!  But we had some laughs and I love the way these images turned out!  And can we talk about the lighting?!  It was amazing that day!!

And we can't leave out little Miss Kennedy.  We had to do some bribing, but she was a trooper and played along. She is just the cutest little princess there ever was and she's certainly enjoying her new role as big sister.

I'm so happy for this little extended family of mine and I can't wait to watch their kids grow up!

Family Photo Shoot at the Awesome Hawk Ranch, Murrieta, CA

Justin, Lisa and little baby Kimer Lily were so fun to photograph.  Despite the wind, animals running amok, and a baby, we ended up having a great photo shoot.  Little Kimber barely made a sound and even the dog cooperated better than some humans!  We chose this location of beautiful Hawk Ranch in Murrieta because number one it's absolutely beautiful to photograph and number two, they wanted their dog Stella to be in the family pictures.

They were such a sweet, fun-loving couple and you could just see the love they had for each other and for their brand new baby.  And what's not to love;  Kimber Lily was absolutely adorable and we barely heard a peep out of her the whole time.

I hope to be able to photograph this family for years to come and be able to watch Kimber grow up.  Thank you Vidal family for allowing me to capture your memories!

Photograhing Your Daughter is Easy When She's so Beautiful

I love that my daughter is always so willing to pose for me!  She's been my test subject while I was in school, my subject when I needed to build my portfolio, and my subject when I just feel like photographing her because she's beautiful.  I never grow tired of seeing images of my family around my house, at my desk, or on my computer screen.  I encourage all of you to get out your cameras and start snapping away!  Don't let those moments slip away.

Last week I blogged about my trip to Cedar Creek Ranch and Vineyards.  Well I took my daughter along with me and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a few shots of her in the beautiful surroundings of the vineyard.  I sure wish that the vineyard wasn't so far away.  I would love to be able to shoot my seniors and families there.  There is just something special about that place.

So thank you to my daughter for always being willing to model for me.  And thank you to Karen and Ginger for creating such a special place.

If you need me to photograph your high school seniors, your families or your events, please give me a call at (951) 206-6863 or you can reach me via my website at:  http://www.rhondasamuelsphotography.com

Memorial Day Tribute

In keeping with my Heroes theme from my blog last week, today and this weekend I want to honor all those individuals who have gave the ultimate sacrifice to bring us freedom.  There are so many fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, sons and daughters who have willingly put themselves in harms way to ensure that we have the freedoms that many of us take for granted everyday.  I pray this weekend and everyday that those left behind could know how much I appreciate the sacrifice that their loved one has made.  I can't imagine what the families who are left behind are going through, and I pray that I never have to find out.  So I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your sacrifice for me and my family.  And for those who are still serving, I pray for your safety and that you will someday soon come home to your families.  God Bless each and every one of you!!

My Latest Family Portrait Session with the Marler Family at Grand Traditions Estate

Back in 2015, I was asked if I would donate a gift certificate for a session to a missions fundraising event at a local church.  I of course said yes because it was for such a good cause.  The Marler family made the bid and purchased my gift certificate.  I felt honored.  After meeting with Kim, the mother/wife, we were able to set a date for the shoot in April of 2016.  They chose to have their shoot done at the Grand Traditions Estate in Fallbrook, CA.  It's such an awesome location for a photo shoot and I was so excited to meet the rest of the family which was made up dad and two sisters.  They were such a loving family and I so enjoyed taking their portraits.  You could tell they are a very loving family and I hoped to be able to capture that love in my images.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!  And Marler family, thank you for trusting me to take your family portraits.  It was a pleasure!
